When we found out that one of our customer service reps got engaged, we knew we had to share her sweet story. Read below for details on this proposal for a perfectly ‘in-synch’ couple.
Names: Amy and Winnie
Dating for: Six years
How they met: In high school. Amy noticed Winnie from afar, and in true high school fashion, didn’t tell tell her. Instead, she participated in her school’s flower selling program around Valentine’s Day, where you could choose a carnation to send to a love. Amy picked the white flower, which was meant to show a “secret admirer.” After some time, Amy finally got up the courage to tell Winnie she had sent the carnation. Winnie didn’t believe her–but wanted to date anyway. The rest is history!
The leadup: Winnie and Amy both share a deep love of A Capella, and they are big fans of a group called Pentatonix. And with an upcoming six year anniversary, Amy thought she could work their mutual love of the band into her proposal. So, she picked up Winnie and surprised her with tickets to the bands show. Amy also had a number of other surprises up her sleeve, including VIP backstage passes to meet the band (courtesy of a friend who reached out to the group on Twitter for help in the proposal), along with a cameo from some of their best friends from home. She also videotaped the whole night, from their arrival until…
The moment: Amy proposed, with one of their favorite songs playing in the background and their best friends by their side. After Winnie recovered from the shock, she happily said yes, and the duo and their friends headed backstage to hang with the band and celebrate.
To top it all off, Amy then made a YouTube video chronicling their engagement night. You can watch it here.
Will they opt for a destination wedding? Stay tuned. 🙂
